“Little Rome in Birmingham”, the Oratory Church was built between 1907-1910 in the Baroque style as a memorial to Cardinal Newman, founder of the English Oratory.

  • Opening hours: All year round.
    • Sunday: 7:15am - 1:30pm, 5:00pm -6:45pm, 7:15pm - 8:45pm.
    • Mond, Wed, Thur, Fri 7:00am - 8:30am, 12:00 noon - 1:30pm, 5:00pm - 6:30pm, 7:30 - 8:00pm
    • Tuesday: 7:00am - 8:30am, 12:00 noon - 1:30pm, 5:00pm - 6:30pm, 7:30 - 9:00pm.
    • Saturday 7:00am - 12:00noon, 3:45pm - 6:45pm
    • At other times, entrance can be obtained via the Oratory House.

    • Small groups can visit Cardinal Newman’s room and library by arrangement
