Opening Hours

  • Open Thursday to Saturday, 10.30am - 4pm.
    Entry is by timed guided tour. Pre-booking advised.

    Tours at 10.45am, 11.15am, 11.45am, 12.30pm, 1pm, 1.45pm, 2.15pm, 2.45pm, 3.15pm and last approximately 45 minutes. Admission charges apply.

    Closed: 25 - 26 December and 1 January.

How to get there:

  • Train: from Birmingham Snow Hill to the Jewellery Quarter (1 stop; the Jewellery Quarter station is just 100 yards from the Museum).
  • Bus: nos. 101, 16, 74, 78, 79, 91 from city centre.
  • Car/coach: A41 Birmingham-Wolverhampton road, turn into Vyse Street approx. 1 mile from city centre.

Parking

  • Cars: Multi-storey pay-and-display car park in Vyse Street, approx. 200 yards from the Museum, or on-street (limited stay).
  • Coaches:set down/pick up only outside the museum.
  • one-bay coach space in Branston Street

Average Length of Visit

  • 1-1+ hours.
  • Large parties are split into groups of about 15 and admitted at 5-10 minute intervals to avoid overcrowding.
  • Pre-booking for groups is essential.
